History

The Estonian Founders Society was born in 2009 (originally as the Estonian Startup Leaders Club) when a group of early-stage entrepreneurs—graduates of a startup leadership program—decided to stay connected.

Their mission: share both successes and failures, tackle day-to-day startup challenges together, and build meaningful relationships among founders.

From 2020 onward, we evolved beyond networking to become a stronger voice for startups in Estonia and internationally. 

We push for better policies (in areas like stock options, global talent, remote work, and legal frameworks).

We build bridges in the ecosystem.

We prove the power of startups—all while keeping our founder community close, strong, and inspired. 

When and where possible, we have some fun in the process.
